Psalm 100:1 - Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth!
Today I am taking time to be thankful for something a little more lighthearted... technology! It sounds funny to say, but I am a technology junkie. I am so glad to have things like Facebook, Skype, and texting, especially after moving 800 miles away from everyone and everything I've ever known. Not only is technology helping me "see" and talk to my family and friends on a very regular basis (probably more than I did when I lived up there!), but it's also helping meet new friends here in Florida (Thank you meetup.com!). I probably spend a little bit longer than I should on these technology devices (did I mention reading great books on my Nook after K goes to bed?), but instead of letting anyone make me feel bad about that, I'm just going to be thankful that I have access to such great tools and remind myself gently that the toilets have to be cleaned at some point (that's what the timer app on my phone is for right?).
Lol, cleaning who does that? Oh wait we all have to grr. I am thankful for technology too. My schooling is based off technology.
ReplyDeleteMy Masters was too. I learned so much, glad I can still use what I learned even though I'm not in the classroom anymore! :)
