Today I am thankful for naptime! My little munchkin is a bundle of energy and, boy, do we have fun. We love going to playdates, playing at home, grocery shopping, cleaning house and cooking together, and of course reading books. Everyday I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to be a Stay-at-Home-Mom and enjoy those fun moments. Then there comes that time, after lunch, when the house gets quiet and I get to sit (even if its just for a second) and take a moment for me. Most of the time I jump on the computer to chat with a friend, I might tackle a cleaning project that I don't like to do around K (bathrooms... yuck), or I might read a book, do a little craftin', or even just veg on the couch in front of Grey's Anatomy reruns. Some days it lasts longer than others but however long it is, I appreciate the break and then comes another great part of the day.... when I get to go into her room to her smiling wakey-baby face and spend the afternoon having even more fun together.
Motherhood is such a wonderful thing, but Lord, thank you so much for the little break that makes me enjoy her even that much more!
