This might seem obvious, but today I'm thankful for Black Friday shopping!!
I got a great start on my Christmas shopping, got in the Christmas spirit, and got to hang out with some of my favorite MD girls in the process. Black Friday shopping is a holiday tradition for me. I know some people hate it, some people get ridiculous, some people get rude... me, I'm along for the ride. I don't go with expectations and sometimes you walk out with nothing. Who cares?
I'm also really thankful for the folks that worked last night and today in all those stores. I know it couldn't have been easy to go to bed early, maybe miss some of their Thanksgiving time with family, and get up to go to work and deal with all those crazy people. If their employers are going to make them do that, then the least I can do is tell them thank you, give them a smile, and not be a jerk.
Finally, I'm thankful for my sister, and best girlfriends who tolerated the crowds and kept us all smiling and laughing the whole time. It's not a shopping trip without your girls!! :)
