I love to shop! Even more, I love to save money when I shop! I'd like to think I'm a pretty good bargain hunter and I feel great satisfaction to see a decent amount of money on the "You saved:" line of my receipt.
I have always been pretty good about catching coupons for clothes shopping, even as a teenager. But recently, I've taken to collecting coupons for everything. I signed up for a paper and I created my little organized notebook (thanks to my BFF for the suggestion) and I try really hard to clip coupons for the things we need and want from the grocery store and elsewhere. I'd say I'm still pretty novice at it... I probably could save more money by paying closer attention, but I'm satisfied thus far by saving the amounts I have in just the short amount of time I've been doing this.
Am I an "extreme couponer?" No, not yet anyway, but I'm thankful for the companies that put their coupons out there for consumers. Yes, in the long run it helps them by enticing me to purchase their products... but at the same time, it's saving me a few extra dollars to put towards other important things.
