Miss K's Vocabulary

Miss K turned 19 months old yesterday and boy is she a chatterbug! I've been meaning to make a list of all the awesome words she's trying to say now. She's getting to the point where she says them in context and isn't just repeating. I'm so proud of my Chatty Cathy!


These really aren't in order - but these are the ones she says on her own:
Mama (yup - Mama was her first word! Oh Yea!)
Dada
Mommy

"Hehwhoa" - Hello
Bye-Bye
Bye-Bye Guys (no joke - cracks me up!!)
NO!
No Way!
Oh No! (after dumping any and all boxes of toys in her bedroom)
"Cah" - car
"A-pain" - airplane (everytime she hears/sees one in the sky - she points too)
Up (which she says when she means up or down)
"Hep" - help
Hat
Cat
"AJ" - her cousin's name
"Mooooovie" - anything on television
Apple
"Pumpeee" - pumpkin
"Ba" -ball
"Api Juuussss" - any kind of juice (apple juice)

"sah" - socks
Baby!
"Brabee" - her friend's name
Izzie - another friend's name
"Ahmee" - one of her aunts' name

cheese
"WAHffles" - waffles
mine
Eat!! Eat!!
"wah-wah" - water
ELMO! (which she yells as loud as she can every time she sees)
"Mimmie" - Minnie Mouse
"B E Z D...." - random letterish sounds... (anytime she sees a string of letters written down, I think she's trying to sing the alphabet or something - it's really funny)

There's probably more that I can't think of right now, but I'm so proud of all the talking she's doing. She repeats just about everything you say - so we're really watching our Ps & Qs. haha!

We're working on animal sounds too. She has sounds for cat, dog, monkey, duck, cow, and bird. I'm trying to teach her "Bzzz" for Bee since that's her Halloween costume. She says it sometimes but not always.

She can show me her head, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, toes, and tummy. She can also show us our eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. She's going to take off with talking and all these other things pretty soon, so I just wanted to be able to remember what she started with and how far she's come. I'm so proud to be her Momma!
